I seem to have reached a foolish consistency in my blogging. This blog sticks at right around 200 subscribers. I get around 300 hits per day. It doesn't seem to change month after month, year after year. I get an occasional aberration, but for the most part the blog seems to have reached a certain plateau and it doesn't go up or down and it's frustrating me.
My DaniWeb TechTreasures by Ron Miller blog has a similar consistency. On days I have a new post I get around 1800 hits. On days I don't I get around 700 hits. Out of my last 25 or so posts, most have gone over a 1000 hits, with the target being in the 1400-1600 range. I occasionally get one that shoots over 2500 and sometimes I have a really big day, but that sweet spot of 1400-1600 is amazingly consistent and I just don't understand why I can't break through that on a more regular basis.
I submit my links to social networks and content aggregation sites. I do everything I'm supposed to be doing, yet I can't seem to increase my audience. It seems to have found its plateau and I am searching for a way to take it to the next level.
I welcome your ideas. Please leave a comment with suggestions.
