$25 Discount Not Enough for Kindle Ads

Amazon is trying to sell a Kindle with ads for a $25 savings off of the ad-free model. I think it's a bad idea and one that is likely dead on arrival.

It's going to take more than $25 to lure people to mix ads with their books, but Amazon may be thinking beyond its basic eBook Reader here.

Penguin shows off ebook interactivity on the iPad

There is some pretty cool stuff here and it really goes to show how the right eBook reader could fundamentally change the way we think about books. Instead of being static pages, you could interact with the pages. This video shows some possibilities from kids book all the way up to adult ones.
