BlackBerry introduced its long awaited tablet yesterday and this video is meant to show off its capabilities. It tries to create a cool atmosphere with the background music, but as an ad, I don't find it terribly effective.
The device looks fairly plain, but according to FierceCIO, it offers Flash support, a microUSB and microHDMI ports and front and back cameras. RIM clearly looked at the deficiencies of the iPad and made a concerted effort to fill them in.
The PlayBook (clever name) is also smaller than the iPad, sporting a 7 inch screen. It should be ready for distribution in the US some time in the first quarter next year.
