Link: DRM Watch: Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Grokster Case.
In what is considered an unusual move, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the case against the owners of the Grockster P2P network. At stake is whether the company that developed the software can be held liable for illegal file sharing on the network.
This could have big implications on copyright law, so it bears watching. I'm working on an article right now on alternatives to the current copyright law. Look for that to be published in a couple of weeks on CMP Security Pipeline.
